Our Summer Parks Program offers a full season of safe, active, and engaging outdoor fun for children ages 6-12.Campers spend their days in our local parks enjoying sports, group games, arts and crafts, nature activities, and themed weekly programming and off-site field trips designed to build confidence, friendships, and creativity. Program Details & Fees Category Details Schedule Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM(Participants should bring lunch in an insulated lunch box with an ice pack and a water bottle.)(On Field trips days your child may need to arrive up to 30 minutes early. This will be communicated.  Locations Violet Hill Park Weekly Cost (Residents) $100 per week Weekly Cost (Non-Residents) $110 per week Registration Fee $35 (one-time fee per camper), includes a program t-shirt. What to Expect Dynamic Programming featuring a mix of park-based activities, special theme days, and off-site field trips that will be communicated to families in advance. Trained Recreation Staff: The program is led by trained staff who prioritize safety, structure, and positive experiences for every child. Flexible Registration: Families may register for the full summer or choose week-by-week participation. Participants should bring lunch in an insulated lunch box with and ice pack and a water bottle. Prerequisites: All campers must have completed the required forms prior to attending. Our Summer Parks Program offers a full season of safe, active, and engaging outdoor fun for children ages 6-12.Campers spend their days in our local parks enjoying sports, group games, arts and crafts, nature activities, and themed weekly programming and off-site field trips designed to build confidence, friendships, and creativity. Program Details & Fees Category Details Schedule Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM(Participants should bring lunch in an insulated lunch box with an ice pack and a water bottle.)(On Field trips days your child may need to arrive up to 30 minutes early. This will be communicated.  Locations Violet Hill Park Weekly Cost (Residents) $100 per week Weekly Cost (Non-Residents) $110 per week Registration Fee $35 (one-time fee per camper), includes a program t-shirt. This will be done as much in advance of the class as possible. There are conditions where heavy winds, lightening, snow or freezing rain may develop on the day of a class and advance notice of a postponement or cancellation may not be possible. In those situations where notification may come later in the day, this is our procedure and indicators for postponement or cancellation: Spring Garden Township will make a decision as early as possible and will call or email the participants enrolled in the class.In all cases, students should use common sense to make the best decision when bad weather and driving conditions are factors.

Our Summer Parks Program offers a full season of safe, active, and engaging outdoor fun for children ages 6-12.Campers spend their days in our local parks enjoying sports, group games, arts and crafts, nature activities, and themed weekly programming and off-site field trips designed to build confidence, friendships, and creativity. Program Details & Fees Category Details Schedule Monday through Thursday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM(Participants should bring lunch in an insulated lunch box with an ice pack and a water bottle.)(On Field trips days your child may need to arrive up to 30 minutes early. This will be communicated.  Locations Violet Hill Park Weekly Cost (Residents) $100 per week Weekly Cost (Non-Residents) $110 per week Registration Fee $35 (one-time fee per camper), includes a program t-shirt. What to Expect Dynamic Programming featuring a mix of park-based activities, special theme days, and off-site field trips that will be communicated to families in advance. Trained Recreation Staff: The program is led by trained staff who prioritize safety, structure, and positive experiences for every child. Flexible Registration: Families may register for the full summer or choose week-by-week participation. Participants should bring lunch in an insulated lunch box with and ice pack and a water bottle. Prerequisites: All campers must have completed the required forms prior to attending. Children must be 6 prior to the week they begin camp.  If your camper turns 6 after the start of camp please e-mail ksprich@sgtwp.org to make arrangements.  Our goal is simple: To create a summer where kids can explore, play, grow, and feel connected to their community.Weekly Themes: (weekly activities are subject to change with short notice, changes will be communicated via e-mail as needed)Every Tuesday is a water day- Bring a bathing suit.On Field trip days your child MAY need to arrive up to 30 minutes early, this will be communicated in advance.Week 1 (June 15-June 18: Welcome to Summer Beach Blast - This week we'll have Water-slide Wednesday, bring a bathing suit and a beach towel.Week 2 (June 22-June 25): Big Chill Week - Wednesday Field trip to Turkey Hill Experience.Week 3 (June 29-July 2): Independence Day Celebration- Foam Party date tba! Week 4  (July 6-July 9): Underwater Adventure Week- Wednesday Field Trip to Penn-Oaks Swimming Pool.Week 5 (July 13- July 16: Art Week- Creative York will hold an art classes this week, Bring a plain 100% white  cotton  tee or anything you'd like to tie die on Wednesday.Week 6 (July 20- July 23): Super Hero Week (Formerly Olympics Week)- Wednesday Field trip to Laser Alleys for bowling and laser tagWeek 7 (July 27- July 30): Circus Week- Wednesday Field trip to Fun City, Trampoline Park Week 8 (August 3 - August 6): Community Week- Water-slide Wednesday, Pizza and Popsicle Party on our last day. Refund and Cancellation Policy: Spring Garden Township Recreation programs require advance planning and costs for staffing, supplies, and services.Program Cancellations-If a program is cancelled by Spring Garden Township, a refund or credit will be issued. (credit card convenience fees can not be refunded)-Cancellations due to weather or unforeseen circumstances do not qualify for refunds.-The Summer Playground Program is an outdoor program and will operate in LIGHT rain when it is safe to do so. Morning Weather Decisions in case of heavy rain: -If weather conditions are questionable, the program will begin as scheduled.-Staff will assess conditions at the start of the day.-If weather does not improve, and rain continues to be heavy the Township may close the program for the day.The program will be cancelled in case of unsafe weather conditions. Participant Cancellations-Cancellations made 14 days or more before the week of registration may receive a refund or credited to a different week. (credit card convenience fees can not be refunded)-No refunds will be issued once a program has started. Attendance and Absences-Missed days due to illness, vacation, behavior or schedule conflicts do not qualify for refunds or credits.Medical or Emergency WithdrawsIn documented medical emergencies, a credit may be issued at the discretion of the Recreation Director. By registering participants agree to this policy.Please find our Parent Handbook here, under Summer Park Program: https://www.springgardentwp.org/recreation/
